Before there was a film, there was the blog. Check out posts dating back to the inception of the project in April 2008.

Huntsville Area Local Food Guide

The Huntsville Area Local Food Guide is here! Published by Alabama Sustainable Network and Sarah Cseke of Alabama A&M University, the guide lists over sixty providers, including farms, roadside stands, U-picks, and ranches. If you live in North Alabama, it's time to start eating local! Need milk? Want a Christmas turkey or ham? Want to take your kids blueberry picking next summer? And what about goat cheese? Well, the information is all right here in this handy-dandy guide. It's easy to download and print, highlight, dog-ear, make notes on, fold and throw in your bag - so no more excuses! And even if you live somewhere else in the state, why don't you just keep a copy of this guide in your car? That way, you'll be covered in case you're passing through and want to stock up on some farm fresh goodies.

You'll find some of the farms listed in this guide on our Farm Locator Map. And whatever is not on the map now, will be added soon!
