Before there was a film, there was the blog. Check out posts dating back to the inception of the project in April 2008.

The Second Alabama Supper

Finally, the announcement: it's time for Supper. The Second Eating Alabama Supper will be at an old secluded lodge in the woods outside of Tuscaloosa, Saturday August 29th, starting at 5:30pm. We'll provide an all Alabama meal (vegetarian this time) featuring local produce, local cheese, local fruits, local oysters and local wheat in local bread. Damn, that's a mouth full. Local beer, local music and local friends will be there too. Bring your dancing shoes for the old-time styling of Red Ruckus and the Tag-a-longs (formerly the Hill Country Hemhaw, guests at the supper back in November). All this for a measly $25, no less! Details about the menus and our various purveyors are emerging, but in the meantime, get your tickets now. We had a sellout pretty quick last year (less than a week) and I imagine we'll do the same here. Exciting news too - any money we make after costs will go toward the formation of our nonprofit devoted to local food issues throughout the state!

Ticket's through Paypal at the link below - sorry for the $1.05 handling fee. At least it beats Ticketmaster. Drop us a line at info(a t)eatingalabama.org if you've got any questions. The address for the Supper will be provided upon RSVP.

Thanks for your support, and see you in a few weeks!

UPDATE: SORRY WE SOLD OUT! SEE YOU NEXT TIME!

p.s. - if you bought tickets to the Alabama Supper last November, it may show up in your cart along with the new tickets. Simply click remove and it should go away. Still trying to fix this bug...
